TRUE STORY
Date: December 17, 2005
Time of storyline: A Friday. I’ll never forget it. It was around 6:30-7:30pm. I was riding the
transit bus from Burger King (where I worked) to my hometown. Princess Anne. I drew graffiti on
the back of my special seat as I always did on the 253 transit. I gotten off in front of Junior’s
Wines and Spirits for two double deuces and a pack of Newport Kings. Shorts. As soon as I
stepp in the store I see Assassin.
Assassin and I have been tru friends since I moved down here in ‘93. He always gotz my back.
We exchange daps-I mean I shake his hand. He da Doggtown Reppin Homie. My man!!! D.T.P.
● Assassin: What's good wit yah?
● Me: What's up Cuz? Where you headed? (As I walked to the cooler, opened the door
and grabbed two 45’s.)
● Assassin: Headed to D-block. Precious got something goin on over there. All da Niggaz
from Uptown goin be there tonight rappin. What’s up? Goin nigga?
Precious was a neighborhood chick who thru parties. Looks like I fell into something. We walk
out of Junior’s and then was greeted by a treat of college freaks. We roll in strength. Take down
digits, then keep it movin. We stop at the liquor store up the street. I got a pint of Barton’s gin my
man Assassin got Knotty head plus two cups for our walk. The clerk was giving me a hard time
cuz I didn’t have my I.D. Whole time he was being a bitch. Why? He’s cool wit my Dad. So
Assassin paid for it. Off to D-block.
Date: December 19, 2005
Time of storyline: 5:30pm. Evening. Just before Christmas. Fell in over Assassins after
hanging with SugaBear all Sunday. I was hungry as shit so I asked to fix myself a sandwich,
then I made way for my walk. First, I stopped at Becky’s but no one answered the door. Becky
was like an older womanly figure to me. Like a mother, but she wasn’t as old. She was hip to the
streets and sold boot leg C.D.’s. At that time 50 Cent, Hot Boyz, Young Buck, Paul Wall, Triple
Six, Killa Cam, Mike Jones, shit like that was hot. And she had it.
I hopped off the stoop to journey to Mt. Vernon. From Uptown to Mt. Vernon is about 5 miles-2 ½
hour walk. Not caring, I’ll take the long way home thru Deal Island Road. Just to get a grip on
life. At that time, I was a Street Kid. 26 years old. Fresh. Thuggin It. I walked Uptown-thru Prince
William Street, headed for Deal Island Road. At that corner is a police station. As I’m
approaching my turn, a police vehicle flashes his lights. You know me-Fuck da Police, what’s
up?!!! He hops out his squad car and immediately we’re chest to chest. It was the notorious
lieutenant.
● Lieutenant: What are you doing out here boy?
● Me: I'm minding mine-Goin home. Why you all up on me?
● Lieutenant: The Chief wants to talk to you.
● Me: I ain’t got nuttin to say to da bitch.
